Dennis: How to Do Business with the State of Texas
Do you want to sell your goods and services to the State of Texas, but are not sure how to do it? Let us show you! This workshop will introduce you to the essential programs for understanding how the State of Texas buys goods and services and what you need to do if you want to sell to the state.
The TX Comptroller of Public Accounts State Purchasing website is the location for you to learn how to do business with the State of Texas.
We will review the website to teach you:
• How to research your National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) codes
• About the statewide contract programs and how state agencies use them to buy goods and services
• The purpose of the Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL) and how state agencies use it to locate vendors
• Where to find statewide procurement opportunities through the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD)
• What the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program is about and if you are eligible to apply for the program
